Mark Waite
Director of Business Services
As the Deputy Associate Director for the Administrative Services Division, Mark reports to the Associate Director for Administrative Services, Kelly Caccetta, where he supports her responsibility for the planning, oversight, management and evaluation of the business functions of Jefferson Lab as well as administrative components of the DOE contract. Additionally, Mark serves as Director of the Business Services Department within the Administrative Services Division.
Mark joined the Laboratory in 1985 as a subcontracts specialist and was responsible for procuring major experimental equipment and components during construction of the facility. In 1992, Mark was promoted to Procurement Manager, and in 1997 he became Director of the Business Services Department consolidating procurement and financial functions. His oversight responsibilities included procurement, accounting, financial services, travel services and technology transfer support. Prior to joining Jefferson Lab, Mark was employed at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (Livermore, CA) and Bechtel Power Corporation (San Francisco, CA) in various procurement roles and responsibilities.
Mark is a graduate of Michigan State University receiving a B.S. degree in social science and a MBA in marketing. Mark also served two years of active duty in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps., stationed in Ft. Belvoir, VA.
Mark is a current member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).
