SRF Frontiers Workshop

From Wednesday, Nov. 12, through Friday, Nov. 14, the SRF Frontiers Workshop will take place in CEBAF Center rm. F113. Topics covered will include:

Future SRF at JLab for sustaining CEBAF energy efficiency and discovery reach (in context of NP Long Rang Plan). Sub-topics: High-Q cavities, 4K operation and high-performance cryomodules.Future SRF for scientific facilities, including the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) and its project schedule and science outlook, and Higgs Factory (in the context of HEP P5 report). Sub-topic: EIC SRF systems; Higgs Factory SRF challenges.Future SRF for applications beyond basic research, including ADS for transmutation of used nuclear fuel, compact SRF technology for industrial applications, and SRF based tools for material research such as SRF microscope and for cancer treatment. Sub-topics: Beam test of Nb3Sn cryomodule GE-I, design of advanced Nb3Sn cryomodules, ADS applications, and SRF TEM, SRF potentials for FLASH cancer treatment.

A satellite event will recognize late-career SRF technical practitioners who helped build CEBAF and continued their long-term service to the present day.
