Welcome to the Jefferson Lab Institute for SRF Science and Technology

Accel Cavities

This is the home page of the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab) Accelerator Development Department.

  • We support the operation, improvement, and upgrade of the Jefferson Lab superconducting rf recirculating linac, CEBAF.
  • We support the development of SRF-based drivers for free electron lasers for possible industrial applications.
  • We support development, assembly, and testing of SRF-based accelerating systems for the Spallation Neutron Source.
  • We explore techniques for producing improved-performance SRF systems.
