- USJHPE travel support is administered by the University of Connecticut (UConn). Approved travelers should await instructions from UConn before making any travel arrangements.
- USJHPE will typically cover the cost of round-trip air travel (economy class) between US airports and Tokyo and the cost of connecting transportation in Japan (air, train, bus).
- USJHPE will reimburse the cost of accommodation at the guest houses at J-PARC or KEK at the negotiated rates. Under exceptional circumstances, if on-site accommodation is not available, the traveler may apply for reimbursement at a higher rate.
- USJHPE will pay a flat per diem at $70/day.
- Reimbursement of expenses will be made after the completion of travel and receipt of the exit report. Original receipts for travel and accommodation should be mailed to:
